Welcome to my little corner of the world, where life unfolds through the lens of motherhood, the soil of my garden, the shutter of my camera, and the faith that guides me. My name is Janelle, and this is my story.
I am a wife and mother to three amazing boys (four if you count my husband). Becoming a mom transformed my identity, priorities, and daily life in ways I never expected. Each day is a new adventure and learning opportunity for both my children and me.
Motherhood and The Heart of My World
Motherhood has been the most fulfilling role of my life, despite its challenges. The joy of nurturing, teaching, and watching my children grow is something I wouldn’t trade for anything. They inspire me to be my best self and to teach them about God, kindness, curiosity, and much more.
While motherhood brings immense joy, it also comes with challenges. In my children’s laughter and hugs, I see glimpses of God’s love and grace. Yet, amidst the chaos, there are moments of doubt and uncertainty about whether I’m doing enough or being the mother they need. Through it all, my faith guides me, reminding me that I am not alone and that God’s strength is perfect in my weakness.
Motherhood is a journey filled with ups and downs, but the rewards are priceless. My children’s smiles, their growth, and their love are daily reminders of the beauty and grace in my life. Faith is my anchor, helping me navigate the challenges and celebrate the joys of motherhood.
The Gardener in me
They also like to call me “Plant mom.” In a world filled with constant hustle and bustle, there’s something serene about the presence of plants. They stand as silent guards, offering comfort and companionship within the chaos of daily life.
As a devoted plant mom, transforming spaces into vibrant sanctuaries of growth and renewal is something I strive for. My garden is my refuge, a place where I connect with nature and myself, and where my kids can learn about love and grace.
My love for plants goes beyond the aesthetic; it is about the process, the nurturing, the growing, and the blooming. For me, plants are more than just decorations; they’re living, breathing reminders of the beauty of nature. Each leaf, each stem, tells a story of growth. For the past 15 years, I’ve embarked on an exhilarating journey through photography. What started as a fascination with fashion and modeling evolved into a passionate pursuit, fueling my soul with every click of the shutter.
From humble beginnings, experimenting with basic equipment, to mastering the art of storytelling, each photograph I’ve taken has been a step forward in my development as a photographer.
Whether capturing the pure joy on my children’s faces, the intricate details of a wedding day with Andrea, or a moment of serene faith, my camera is my tool for storytelling. It challenges me to see the world from different angles, to find beauty in the ordinary, and to freeze fleeting moments into lasting memories.
My Faith Journey
My Christian faith is my foundation. It shapes how I raise my children, care for my plants, and view the world through my camera lens. It gives me strength during trials, joy during celebrations, and peace in everyday moments. My faith is a continual journey of learning, growing, and leaning into grace. It has also led me to find some of my best friends and grow this powerful community called “Women Who.”
As I continue my faith journey, I am grateful for the blessings of motherhood, marriage, and photography, and how they have deepened my relationship with God. It’s a journey filled with ups and downs, but I know I am held in His hand, and with Him, all things are possible. My faith journey is ongoing; it’s a path of constant growth and transformation, marked by triumphs and tribulations.
